Volunteers

If you are over 14 years old why not come along and be a volunteer for Fairplay?

Volunteering has plenty to offer anyone who is thinking about working with children and young people with additional needs and disabilities.

If you want to learn new skills, gain confidence, earn a reference for employment or education or, if you simply just want to come along and have some fun, then why not join our wonderful team of volunteers.

Fairplay can offer you the opportunity to work alongside children and young people throughout North Derbyshire.

Activities Fairplay offer are

  • Youth groups
  • Holiday playschemes
  • Trips
  • Weekly clubs
  • Christmas parties

As a volunteer you will be offered Induction Training and the opportunity for further training. You should never be out of pocket as a result of your voluntary work so Fairplay will provide travel expenses paid at an agreed rate.

Volunteering will enable you to:

  • Gain valuable experience
  • Develop skills & enhance job prospects
  • Meet new people, have fun
  • Make a difference to you & your community

Fairplay relies heavily on its volunteer team to enable us to offer the children and young people a service they love and one that is greatly needed.

If you are interested in volunteering please print off the application form below and post it to the address on the form.  Along with the application form is a covering letter and task description to give you a better idea of what it entails to be a Fairplay volunteer.

Ofsted regulations require volunteers aged 16 and over to complete a Criminal Records Bureau Declaration Form.  Do not be put off by this – it is relatively straightforward.

We look forward to hearing from you.
